As you are getting closer to the big day you will want to do some delegating. Luckily there are plenty around you to assist in the day-of duties, all while keeping you calm and on schedule. But who is responsible for what? Here is a basic rundown of each persons day-of wedding responsibilities.

THE MAID OF HONOR
The MOH is the bride’s go-to on her wedding day and responsible for assuring the bride enjoys her wedding day. How does she do that? By taking on the brunt of the the day-of duties. Ensuring the bride and bridal party are on schedule, available as a contact with vendors, holding the bride’s bouquet during the ceremony, signing the marriage certificate and giving a toast at the reception – all while making sure the bride is calm and enjoying her big day.
THE BEST MAN
The best man’s duties include keeping the groom and groomsmen on schedule, helping the ring bearer with the wedding bands pre-ceremony, signing the marriage certificate and giving a speech during the reception.
On the wedding day the brides besties are responsible for getting ready early with the bride, wearing robes or outfits selected by the bride, participate in the ceremony as rehearsed the night before, take formal wedding shots and assist the bride throughout the night. That dress needs an army alone!

THE MOTHER OF THE BRIDE
The mother-of-the-bride will keep her daughter calm and help assist the maid of honor with any vendor hiccups. She will be escorted by an usher during the ceremony to her seat.
THE FATHER OF THE BRIDE
The father of the bride will walk his daughter down the aisle as rehearsed the night before, give a speech during the reception and dance with his little girl during the father daughter dance.
PARENTS OF THE GROOM
The groom’s parents are available to help out where needed. The groom’s mother will partake in the mother son dance.
THE FLOWER GIRL
The flower girl will participate in the ceremony as rehearsed the night before and may drop petals down the aisle as instructed by the bride.
The ushers assist in escorting guests to their seats and handing out programs is a big part of their wedding responsibilities.
