It’s that time to gather with loved ones and celebrate over a really great meal; a.k.a. my most favorite time of year. For this feast, I’ve called upon muted tones set against classic plaid, a sparkle of gold and the most delicious recipes on the planet to host your besties. Friendsgiving might be the more laid-back cousin to Thanksgiving, but that doesn’t mean it still can’t have all the glory of its family traditions to its counterpoint. Sure, I totally get the yoga pants vs. fancy dress debate, but this is a holiday that can have it both ways! Just specify in your invites!

I’m diving into all things Friendsgiving and the biggest piece of that? You guessed it, the almighty menu. Unlike traditional Thanksgiving meals, Friendsgiving allows you to get a little more creative and break away from tradition. See my picks below that will make your party shine, even if your dress code is… casual dress necessary! Cozy up and get your Friendsgiving on!

If orange is not a part of your color love language, try toning it down to a soft peach. Let nature dictate your color choice with a bevy of pastel pumpkins dotting the landscape. Next pop in loads of candles to give your Friendsgiving that perfect cozy glow.

And on the menu? Try Baked Potatoes with Goat Cheese, Rosemary and Caramelized Onions, Apple Cornbread Stuffing and the most amazing Sweet Potato Soup with Bacon and Maple Cinnamon Drizzle.

What feast is complete without dessert? To finish the most delicious and amazing Friendsgiving ever, lay out a classic pumpkin pie spread and little boxes for guests to take leftovers. This simple DIY is a sure fire way to make Friendsgiving the gift that keeps on giving. Or as party favors, put a turkey shirt for the hubby’s or a monogrammed mug for your girlfriends at their place setting.  And there you have it, pretty inspiration to whip your Friendgiving into tip top shape.
