When making a dinner reservation in Florence, it’s like saying you will come over to your friends house for dinner.  So make sure you honor your end of the commitment and show up… on time!  Many restaurants don’t have menu’s (just like you don’t get a menu at your friends house) but they will cater to you if you have a dislike or food allergy.  I must say after 3 courses, it was hard for me to finish, but it was so good I couldn’t help myself!!!  Antipasto plate with ham, cantaloupe, figs, mozzarella, tomato and then a trio of handmade pasta followed by steak and lamb.

During our wedding I learned about this ‘golden hour’… right after the sun goes down, your pictures will look almost like there is a glow in real life  So we couldn’t resist taking pictures on our leisurely walk to dinner. A comfy bag, comfy shoes and a camera is all you need.  Enjoy!

I wasn’t excited about being a tourist, but I’m so glad we signed up for this tour!!  Our tour guide was funny and really set the scene for what it was like back in the 1400 and 1500’s.  She was extremely detailed about the history.  We learned so much about the historic architecture in Florence and the extraordinary art and interesting life of Michelangelo.
