With all of the parties with yummy spreads and of course celebratory champagne toasts, it’s hard to stick to your pre-wedding diet plan. I don’t like the word diet which is why I’m calling this a health kick, but 72 hours before your wedding-I get it, it’s at least good to know which foods to go for and which ones to absolutely avoid to prevent bloating. I first heard about this 3-day plan about 10 years ago from one of my co-workers who was 45 (but clearly didn’t look it!), she had the most amazing skin and body. She said once a month she would drink only water and only eat salmon, blueberries and cantaloupe for three days. After doing some research I realized this plan is called The Facelift Diet and you can add quite a few goodies to this plan. Visit Dr. Perricone’s website for meal and snack ideas. I created a shopping list of some of these foods below and took off some items that are normally amazing for you, but 3 days before your wedding can cause bloating (yes, super foods can cause bloating!). It is perfect for right before your wedding because you will not only shed a couple pounds, but your skin will be clear and glowing and you will feel amazing!I try to do this 3-day plan once a month, simply because I love how my skin looks afterwards. Let me know how you like it! And check back for more health and exercise tips.
